About Us

Garrison Miniatures pioneered 25mm wargaming when sculptor John Braithwaite first unveiled his new miniatures in 1966. Since the 1980's Garrison has passed through various owners (Greenwood & Ball, SKT, Paisley Miniatures, Amazon Miniatures). Some of this history is given in the History section, although there are a couple of inaccuracies - I gather from his daughter, Cath Miller, that in fact John was originally from London and died of a heart attack in 1992. My own 'connection' with Garrison goes back to 1970 when I used to buy my figures at the Northern Garrison.

We hope to send the vast majority of orders out within 7 days of receiving them. However, for some of the ranges this time may be increased - I will not be keeping stocks of most of these figures and they tend to be scattered in small numbers across lots of moulds.

Most of the British infantry and heavy cavalry are now out. The time spent getting this lot sorted means I haven't got round to looking at the 25mm SF figures yet.
 
24 May 2009 Garrison 25mm SF range
Spoke to Duncan Macfarlane at Partizan today to check on the situation re these. Basic past history is that Duncan has copyright, but had no masters and the moulds were unusable. A while back I found a couple of moulds with some of the range on and passed some figures over to Duncan.

Duncan is still not in a position to do anything with them so I asked if he minded if I started selling them. He said yes, I could, so I'll start sorting them out.

I have to stress two things. Firstly, copyright remains with Duncan and he can withdraw permission at any time. Should anyone put in an order and Duncan withdraws permission before I can fill it, all monies will be returned.

Secondly, the figures I have are only part of the range that just happened to be on moulds otherwise consisting of other figures that I own, as such, I do not have and cannot get anything else. I do not have, for example, any vehicles.

Last minute plan change means that I'll be wandering around Partizan this Sunday. I'll make a point of carrying a few samples so that people can have a look, but I should point out I'll basically there looking around - I don't have a stand and I won't have anything for sale.

meanwhile, there is an old picture of me next to this so that you have a chance of recognising me (or avoiding me) - I promise I'll remove it as soon as Partizan is over!
