About Us

Garrison Miniatures pioneered 25mm wargaming when sculptor John Braithwaite first unveiled his new miniatures in 1966. Since the 1980's Garrison has passed through various owners (Greenwood & Ball, SKT, Paisley Miniatures, Amazon Miniatures). Some of this history is given in the History section, although there are a couple of inaccuracies - I gather from his daughter, Cath Miller, that in fact John was originally from London and died of a heart attack in 1992. My own 'connection' with Garrison goes back to 1970 when I used to buy my figures at the Northern Garrison.

We also stock a small range of Rose wargames figures, two of which appear in the Autumn 1956 Rose catalogue and may be the earliest 'wargames' figures ever produced in the UK (or the world!)

Most figures are now cast to order, and we hope to send the vast majority of orders out within 14 days of receiving them. However, during school holidays as well as for some of the ranges this time may be increased. If an order is liable to take more than 30 days to complete for whatever reason, then a customer will be notified of this at the earliest opportunity and given the option to cancel.

Also, please note we DO NOT send an acknowledgement when an order has been made unless requested on the order form. Any queries or problems please use one of the email addresses below.

Customers have the right to a 7 day 'cooling off' period to 'inspect' goods sent. Should a customer choose to return goods then a full refund will be given (including postage) on condition that the goods are returned at the expense of the customer. This last condition is part of the 'terms and conditions of sale' as per DSR Regulations. We must be notified within 7 days, either by email or by post.

21 January 2012 Pendragon range bought
I've bought the Pendragon range of Fantasy/D&D figures from Amazon Miniatures, so will be looking to putting some/all of them out when we reopen in March. I've also bought the Amazon spincaster. This will take 12" moulds - at the moment I can only cast up to 9" moulds. This means that a load of Garrison 12" moulds should now be accessible.

So, possible big changes in production capability as well as the new range - might take a while to sort out how it affects which ranges will appear in March!

24 December 2011 Merry Christmas and Happy New Year everyone

30 November 2011 Winter closure in effect
I've now disabled the catalogue for the winter. I'll be starting up again some time in March. In the meantime, I have got quite a few figures lying around so I might put some of them on Ebay over the next couple of months, if only to remind people that we are still around.

28 November 2011 Reminder....
.....just a couple of days to go for any last minute orders...then back again in March....
