About Us

Garrison Miniatures pioneered 25mm wargaming when sculptor John Braithwaite first unveiled his new miniatures in 1966. Since the 1980's Garrison has passed through various owners (Greenwood & Ball, SKT, Paisley Miniatures, Amazon Miniatures). Some of this history is given in the History section, although there are a couple of inaccuracies - I gather from his daughter, Cath Miller, that in fact John was originally from London and died of a heart attack in 1992. My own 'connection' with Garrison goes back to 1970 when I used to buy my figures at the Northern Garrison.

We also stock a small range of Rose wargames figures, one of which was originally issued in about 1957 and may be the earliest 'wargames' figure ever produced in the UK.

Most figures are now cast to order, and we hope to send the vast majority of orders out within 14 days of receiving them. However, during school holidays as well as for some of the ranges this time may be increased.

Garrison Miniatures

02 September 2010 Gladiators and Adventurers
OK, got latest set of moulds back, Roman Gladiators now out, S%S Adventurers and Rose 30mm Slave Market to follow next couple of days.

27 August 2010 First 100 out!
Of the Admins range, that is, only 2-300 to go!

12 August 2010 Fantasy updates
As anyone looking at the catalogue may have noticed, I'm starting to sort out some of the Admins range. It could be a long job. I've also released some of the S&S range of goblins.

30 July 2010 Of cannons and Star Troopers
Third attempt at this update!

Rose cannons now all out as well as some of the Garrison 25mm Star Troopers - though not proving easy, especially weapons!

For the future, I've acquired figures to use as masters for some of the Rose 30mm Slave Market, though not the gladiators.Still having problems casting the 30mm Napoleonics and still haven't found any 25mm 'British Civil War' - they exist, I've seen photos in a catalogue, so eventually?

I've also got figures for the Garrison 20mm WW2 range, so they'll be coming out, I may also soon increase the S&S range and bring out some of the Garrison gladiators.
